This Is a Rescue Mission
My name is Kelly Smith. I'm a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I sustain the living prophets and apostles. I hold a current temple recommend. And I would rather not be writing this.
I didn't set out to identify a controversial political figure as a prophetic servant of God. I had comfortable beliefs about how the last days would unfold. I expected God's servants to look and act a certain way.
Then in November 2022, during a severe medical crisis where I literally fell out of bed gasping for breath, God opened my understanding in a way I cannot deny. Over the following years, revelation poured into my soul — things I had never heard, never read, and never seen. I came to understand not just who Donald Trump is in prophecy, but what his calling will mean for the covenant people of God.
What I see coming weighs heavily on my heart. Not because of what it means for me — but because of what it means for people I love.
I watch members of the Church whom I have respected for years. People who have taught me. People whose faith I have admired. And I see that many of them will not be able to accept what is coming. They despise Donald Trump so deeply that when he receives his calling from God, they will reject him. And in rejecting him, they will reject the prophet who ordains him. And in rejecting the prophet, they will fall away from the Church entirely.
I used to wonder how the Pharisees of Jesus's day could crucify their own Messiah. How could they witness miracles and still not see?
Now I understand. We are about to live through the same test.
This book is my attempt to prepare as many people as possible — to help them recognize what God is doing before it's too late. That's why I call this a rescue mission. The book is just the vehicle.
What Do You Believe?
Before you read this book, I need to ask you the same question the Lord asked the brother of Jared before showing him the greatest vision ever given to mortal man:
What do you believe?
Not what you think. Not what you have been told. Not what seems logical or comfortable or socially acceptable. But what do you truly believe about how God works, who He calls as His servants, and whether the Atonement of Jesus Christ can transform any soul?
This question matters more than any evidence I could present. Because what you believe will determine what you can see, what you can accept, and ultimately whether you will stand with God's anointed or be swept away.
Ether 3:11 — The Lord asked the brother of Jared: "Believest thou the words which I shall speak?"
He had to believe first — before those words were spoken. Only then did the Lord reveal Himself fully.
God asks the same of you now.
If you have already decided that Donald Trump cannot possibly be God's chosen servant — because of how he speaks, or what the media says about him, or because he doesn't fit your image of what a righteous man should look like — then I invite you to pause and ask yourself: Where did that belief come from? Is it based on scripture and revelation, or on years of media conditioning?
This book will not convince you if your heart is already closed. But if you are willing to believe that God might work in ways that surprise you, through servants who don't fit your expectations, then what follows may change everything.
